Sarah Greensides

Sarah brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for communication to the Yorkton Debate Academy. With 15 years of high school teaching experience and more than a decade spent coaching debate at the school level, Sarah has guided countless students in developing the skills that help them thrive both academically and personally. Now in her second year coaching the Yorkton Debate Academy, she continues to foster an environment where students are challenged to think critically, speak persuasively, and listen respectfully. 

Sarah believes that debate is more than competition; its about confidence, curiosity, and learning to see the world through multiple perspectives. Her coaching approach blends structure with creativity, encouraging students to take intellectual risks while grounding their arguments in logic and evidence. Whether working with beginners or seasoned debaters, she prioritizes growth, inclusion, and helping each student find their unique voice. 

Outside of coaching, Sarah is an advocate for student leadership and lifelong learning. She is committed to helping young people become thoughtful, articulate, and informed citizens.
